About Us

Rooted in Culture Built for Connection

Our Story

Adion Communications was founded on the belief that great marketing starts with understanding people; not just their demographics, but their identity, pride, and place in culture.

Founded by Shannon Castonguay, a Jamaican-born creative with over a decade of experience in PR, marketing, and storytelling, Adion was born from both passion and purpose.
After years of working with major Caribbean brands like Red Stripe, Spur Tree Spices, and Reggae Sumfest, Shannon saw how Caribbean creativity was admired globally but often underrepresented in international markets.

That experience - combined with her move to Canada - inspired Adion: a full-suite communications agency helping Caribbean-rooted and multicultural brands thrive with clarity, credibility, and cultural pride.

Why We Exist

Too often, brands lose their voice when entering new markets. Caribbean companies dilute their authenticity, and Canadian brands struggle to connect meaningfully with diverse communities.
Adion bridges that gap - combining cultural integrity with commercial strategy so brands don’t just enter markets, they belong in them.

Our Approach

We’re a one-stop partner for strategy, storytelling, and activation. Every project we lead is guided by three principles:

  • Culture — the lens that shapes our work.
  • Clarity — the direction that keeps it focused.
  • Craft — the quality that makes it stand out.
  • We create marketing that performs and feels real
